Description

The Prilop Pecan also known as Prilop of Lavaca, is a very disease resistant pecan variety that produces a medium sized high quality pecan. It was voted the State Native Champion of the year in Texas in 1991. Nut size varies with location from 78 to 110 per pound but averaging around 84. Kernel quality is outstanding. Nuts shell easily into golden halves with outstanding flavor.
Tree health is good enough to consider this variety for organic production. It will make a great yard tree with consistent yields of quality nuts without the need to spray.
