Description
The Lipan Pecan is a new USDA release with good scab resistance. Lipan produces Oversize large nuts, 44/lb, that are cream to golden in color and 55% kernel. Grafted trees will bear in 5 to 7 years. Lipan has a strong spreading tree form and type 1 pollen release. Pecans are hardy in zones 5 to 9. For those in northern areas, north of the Ohio River, please read the link on this page.
