Description
The Lebanon Junction Shellbark Hickory is from a roadside tree in Lebanon Junction Kentucky that has since been cut down. Fred Blankenship heard about this tree from a coworker. It is a curious Hickory in that the wood is soft. The nuts won first place at the Kentucky State Fair in 2000. The nuts are sweet and have a good cavity. The tree bears in clusters of 2, 3 and 4 nuts
