The Maramec Pecan came to us as a seedling pecan from Maramec Oklahoma. It is large for a seedling pecan at 48 nuts per pound. It shells out in perfect halves and yields 57% kernel. Nuts mature about 2 weeks after Pawnee. Maramec makes a strong tree with a good structure that resists wind and ice. It will probably need scab control
