Weeping Higan Cherry- Prunus subhirtella var. Pendula is a weeping form of the Higan Cherry. This is a waterfall type weeping tree that as it matures will have levels of weeping branches. It has a cascade of pink flowers in the spring. This is an older variety of weeping cherry but it is still a contender in the modern landscape. This is a very lovely tree in all seasons
The Weeping Higan Cherry grows to about 30′ tall at maturity and about as wide. It is hardy to zones 4 to 9.
