Description
B B Grainger #4 is another one of Fred Blankenship’s Bernheim Arboretum Grainger seedlings. This is one of 7 seedlings that were dug, with permission, from beneath the mature Grainger Shagbark Hickory at the Arboretum. These are being evaluated by Mr. Blankenship and #4 has been deemed worthy of propagation. The nuts are large, thin shelled and have a good flavor. They might be better than Grainger itself.
